The festival of Chhoti Diwali is celebrated before big Diwali. On this day, worship of Yama outside the house is recognized. This year, small Diwali is falling on 26 October. Chhoti Diwali is also known as Narak Chaturdashi, Yama Chaturdashi, Roop Chatirdashi or Roop Chaudas. The special thing is that the lamp is lit outside the house on the night of Diwali.
बड़ी दिवाली से पहले छोटी दिवाली का त्योहार मनाया जाता है. इस दिन रात को घर के बाहर यम की पूजा करने की मान्यता है. इस साल छोटी दिवाली 26 अक्टूबर को पड़ रही है. छोटी दिवाली को नरक चतुर्दशी, यम चतुर्दशी, रूप चतुर्दशी या रूप चौदस के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. खास बात यह है कि छोटी दिवाली की रात घर के बाहर दीपक जलाया जाता है।
